My “Shapescape” paintings are each based on two words - for example “Rose Garden” or “Grass Cutting”. I jot down interesting word pairs when I hear one that evokes a strong colour or colour palette - “Rose Garden” is pink and green, for example. I then produce a painting using this palette.
